The Great Southwest Equestrian Center is an equestrian facility in Katy, Texas. The facility provides boarding, instructional programs, show contests, and other services for horse owners, riders, and trainers. It was founded in 1984 by Nancy and George Morris. The facility is spread out over 100 acres and has a main indoor arena, multiple outdoor arenas, stables, a dressage ring, and a cross-country course. National and international contests are held at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center throughout the year.
George Morris is a well-known equestrian with more than 60 years of experience. He is a member of the National Horse Show Hall of Fame, the American Olympic Hall of Fame, and the United States Show Jumping Hall of Fame. Nancy Morris is a veteran rider who has competed at the highest ranks of show jumping. She belongs to both the National Horse Show Hall of Fame and the United States Show Jumping Hall of Fame.
Great Southwest Equestrian Center was established by the Morrises with the intention of offering top-notch facilities for riders of all skill levels to enjoy.
