Dig World is an amusement park with a construction theme located in Katy, Texas. It is one of the first parks of its kind in the United States. It’s very close to the Katy Mills shopping center and the Typhoon Texas water park. Real skid steers, utility terrain vehicles, and excavators can be safely operated by kids of all ages on their own or with the assistance of a parent or adult. On its 3.5 acres of land, the park also features attractions including a gem mining station, a turf field with sports like cornhole and towerball, and a playground.
The reason Katy was chosen as the initial site for Dig World was because its owner and developer Jacob Robinson and his family are all from there. The park was inspired by Robinson’s 6-year-old son, who is wheelchair-bound and nonverbal. People with disabilities might require assistance getting in and out of the vehicles, but can navigate the park using a wheelchair or other equipment. This is a great addition to an area that is very friendly to families with small children and those with disabilities.

Skid Steers
A full-size Caterpillar 236D3 Skid Steer Loader is available for operation by anyone who is 42 inches or taller. Take it around the track and get a feel for what it’s like to operate some of the machinery that is used in construction.
Cat 303.5 Mini-Excavators
Kids can get in a Caterpillar 303.5 Mini-Excavator and dig to their heart’s content. They can also operate the excavator’s bucket and arm to pick up and move balls around the park.
Mini-Ex Pond Fishing
Fish objects out of ponds with a Caterpillar 306 Mini-Excavator. This is a great way to learn about excavating and have a lot of fun too.
